The List of “REACH High Concern” Chemicals in SmartChem grows by 8 chemicals

ECHA identified 8 more chemicals as the “REACH High Concern” Chemicals in June 2010 thus increasing the total number of substances in this list to 39.

Till March 2010, SmartChem already provided alerts on 31 of these chemicals to its SmartChem users.

SmartChem now provides alerts on these newly identified 8 chemicals, which could eventually be subjected to tough authorization by ECHA. These chemicals cannot be placed on the market or used after a date to be set (the so-called "sunset date") unless the company is granted an authorization.

SmartChem subscribers can now view alerts on these newly identified High Concern chemicals as well in SmartChem.
