SmartChem is further enREACHed!

ROW2’s SmartChem is now further enREACHed. SmartChem now provides Alerts on REACH High Concern Chemicals.

SmartChem is the only knowledgebase, which is closely tracking REACH declarations with an objective to keep its customers well informed on the impact of this legislation.

The new European law on chemicals, REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) entered into force on June 1, 2007 and the entire industry is gearing up for managing the implications of this High Impact Legislation. ECHA has announced their first list of REACH High Concern Chemicals which could eventually be subject to tough authorization and cannot be placed on the market or used after a date to be set (the so-called "sunset date") unless the company is granted an authorization.

SmartChem is now ready to help its users with Alerts on REACH High Concern Chemicals.

SmartChem now provides:

• Alerts on these chemicals with the reason for inclusion in the Hit list
• Alerts on synthesis routes using these chemicals as raw materials

With the help of this enrichment, SmartChem users will not only identify these chemicals and synthesis routes consuming them, but it will also help them identify alternative chemicals and alternative synthesis paths proactively.

SmartChem will be soon enriched with details on REACH pre-registered chemicals.
